How to Open an Aku Account?

Thank you for your interest in opening an Aku account.

It's very easy to open an Aku account. You can open an account in the app (on your smartphone) or on the web via Aku's website(aku.africa).

You;

• Have to be at least 18 years old
• A resident of Nigeria
• Own a smartphone
• Own a government-issued ID card ( Voter's Card, National Identify Card, or International Passport)
• Don't already have an account with us.
  

This is how the account creation process works on Aku:

1. After confirming your phone number and adding your nickname, you're taken to your dashboard.

2. Before carrying out any transaction, the app prompts your to set up your transaction PIN.

3. If you didn't do it while signing up, you'll see a notification telling you to connect your other banks to Aku.

4. Lastly, upgrade your account to remove all transaction limits on your account by verifying your identity and adding your BNV.
