How is Aku Secure?

There are three layers of security we use to protect your account:

• A secure login process

Both your mobile and web app login details consist of a phone number and passcode, a fingerprint or face recognition (depending on your smartphone). Make sure you choose a secure password and never share your login details with anyone.

• A card PIN and transaction PIN

You will need this 4-digit PIN every time you want to make a payment (bill payment, transfer, or card payment). As soon as you create an account and log into the app on your smartphone, you can set your PIN. You can then change it in the app yourself after that.

• Push notification

A push message will be sent to your smartphone for every incoming and outgoing payment. Also, it protects you against online card fraud by serving as a two-step process for confirming and finalizing your transactions.

We'll always ask you some security questions every time you contact us to make sure it's really you. However, we will never ask for your debit card number, card verification value (CVV), password, or confirmation pin.
